OKAYstudio

Más información de Okay Studio / Here’s some more information from Okay Studio:
OKAYstudio will be showing new work at the Mother Space at the Biscuit Building in Shoreditch. The studio also invites designers Eelko Moorer, Andrew Haythornthwaite, Ed Swan, Bernadette Deddens and Tetsuo to show alongside.

OKAYstudio consists of the nine designers Jorre van Ast, Tomás Alonso,
Jordi Canudas, Matthias Hahn, Raw Edges – Shay Alkalay & Yael Mer,
Peter Marigold, Oscar Narud and Hiroko Shiratori, who established their umbrella studio/workshop OKAY in 2006 after graduating from the Royal College of Art.

The Stoke Newington based collective, is a projection of the RCA environment into the ‘real’ professional life, where they share space and spirit, anger and lust in the process of designing work, whilst fully staying distinctive, independent creative professionals.

Each of them retaining his/her own success route and strategy, they are regularly appearing on the stage of major design events nationally and internationally – from Milan to Miami and Basel to Barcelona as well as being exhibited in museums like the MoMA in New York or the Design Museum in London.

At Mother / Biscuit Building this year these energetic individuals will again join forces to surprise together with new work, developed within the last couple of months especially for the LDF challenge. Inviting a few more designers to show alongside, Okay Studio follows and enhances its open and cooperative spirit.

There’s no theme, no boundary other than to produce new and unseen work, an outcome, which is yet mysterious in its essence. Take them by surprise, Okay?
OK!
